If there are changes in menstrual blood flow, or if clots appear that are more than 2.5 centimeters in diameter, this is also considered irregular menstruation.

Causes

A number of the factors increase the chance of the irregular menstruation. Most of them relate to hormone production. The two hormones that mostly impact menstruation are estrogen and progesterone. These are the hormones that can regulate the cycle.

Irregular Periods and Natural Ways to Maintain a Regular Menstrual Cycle:
